The Episcopal Church of South Sudan is one of 40 provinces within The Anglican Communion. It is led by Archbishop & Primate, Most Rev Justin Badi Arama. It comprises 8 internal provinces and 61 dioceses.
The Anglican Church in South Sudan was planted by the Church Missionary Society in 1899 and became an autonomous Province (known as Episcopal Church of Sudan until South Sudan gained independence in 2011) in 1976.
